Camp meeting happens annually for the Church of the Nazarene and I was privileged to be there this past Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
It is an incredible opportunity for all Nazarene church families on the North Central Ohio District to come together for worship and renewal. There’s something about the gathering of all the families worshipping and seeking God’s renewing Spirit all at the same time and in the same place! Lives are changed every year!
The service I attended was nothing short of amazing! The district wanted to let us know that we have amazing and talented youth. For instance, Wednesday night a young girl sang and played the guitar. She has so much talent and is using it to worship the Lord.
I love seeing the way God is moving all over the world.
The choir and orchestra from our church as well as other churches on the district, led by Keith Showalter, brought us into a spirit of worship. You could sense and see the Spirit moving as people all over the auditorium praising and worshipping God. The message of the evening was from Dr. Stan Toler and was on God’s grace – a simple but immensely profound sermon that spoke to all in attendance.
Services continue through Sunday! Tonight is at 7:30pm. Saturday is at 6pm and Sunday is at 5pm. I encourage you attend one or all of the services. You will be encouraged!
