Yesterday immediately following second service, the construction team struck the stage to begin building the set for the North Central Ohio Passion Play.  I was touched by what I observed.  From behind the scenes I saw everyone working together for one common purpose – and they were having so much fun doing it!  Out of a hundred different things these people could have been doing on a Sunday afternoon, they chose something different.  They chose to get involved in something bigger than themselves.

They chose to do something that will glorify our God and minister to the community.  You see, you don’t have to be a singer, or a pastor, or a teacher, or an instrumentalist to minister to people.  Without people building the set, wiring up sound, figuring out lighting, doing makeup, and feeding us (I’ve probably left something out.  If I have, fill in the blank here!), there would be nothing supporting those that sing or play an instrument!  Ministry isn’t always seen.  Many times, some of the most important ministries of the church happen behind the scenes.

If you would like to get involved, there’s still more to do before the performances and during.  Contact us and let us know if you’re interested.  I can think of nothing more exciting to be a part of!!
