Sunday July 13th, BNC honored five young men with the Phineas F. Bresee Award as they graduated from Caravan during the second worship service.  Kenny Cook, Eric Evans, Isaac Hedrick, Jackson Moody, and Isaac Sterrett completed all the badge requirements for Caravan to receive this prestigious award.

Caravan is a Christian based scouting program for kids from 1st to 6th grade.  Learn more about Caravan

That afternoon they were given a limousine ride to and from Logan’s Roadhouse in Mansfield for a celebration lunch. Eric Evans was not in attendance.

A great deal of hard work, dedication, and perseverance has been required to achieve this special honor. Over the years they have earned at least 16 required badges and 16 elective badges. They have learned about the heroes of our faith tradition. They know what the Church of the Nazarene believes because they have learned the 16 Articles of Faith and 30 supporting scriptures. They have given of their self and their time in service to their church and community. They have learned the importance of Christian growth in all areas of life—socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
