Where does character come from?

Character comes from trials we face throughout life. We are not born with character. Character can only be learned. Character is distinctive to each individual. No matter what we do in life, there will always be trials or problems.

Hebrews 5:Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.

Have you ever had anyone start a rumor about you or accused you of something you didn’t do?  How did you react to that?

I’ve been a victim to both of these problems. They are not fun. The hurt that comes with these issues can be very damaging to someone. But with the faith & hope in Jesus, we can get through anything. I’ve been through some tough times in life and it took me a long time to realize the only way to get through it was with God by my side. So many times I’ve tried to run from my problems instead of truly deal with them. My reaction wasn’t always the same.

My negative reactions got me nowhere but deeper into the problem.

Now that I’ve come to God with my problems, it’s been so much easier and it’s taken a huge weight off of my shoulder. Next time you have something going on in your life and you don’t know what to do, pray about it, just give it to God and see the difference in how our problems change. Reaction is everything. Your reaction also shows your character and what you’ve learned from the situation.

Life is a classroom, and trials are there to teach us something. God will always be with you, no matter what the situation is.

Character brings hope.

We have to have faith that God will be with us no matter what. If we don’t have faith in The Lord, we don’t have the hope we need to get through life.

Proverbs 13:12-Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true, there is life and joy.

When you believe all things are possible with Christ, hope wins every time.

Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.

Be content and let God work things out in your life.
