Forgiveness is when we totally release another person from their trespasses against us.

That’s a tough question, like I said before, I’ve really struggled with forgiveness.  Sometimes I’ve wonder why I should forgive that person for what that had done to me. Well come to find out, God can’t come into our hearts and start the healing process if we don’t release that person and ourselves from whatever the situation was.

I’ve learned a lot in the last few years of really being involved in my church and trying my best to live my life the way Christ wants me to. Even though I may still struggle and fall sometimes, I know God is always there to pick me back up.

Forgiving someone for what they have done can feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of your shoulders.

Psalm 65:3 Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.

We are not one to judge others of their sins, only God can judge. If we don’t forgive, we are putting ourselves in God’s judgement seat, and we all know that’s not our place. We are to love others just like God loves us.

A lot of people struggle with forgiveness because they have other issues they are dealing with in their daily lives. We don’t know what that person is going through or dealing with. We shouldn’t judge or assume anything about that person, that’s not our job, we are just suppose to forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

Matthew 6:15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Every Christian has a past and every sinner has a future and moments present themselves where we have to make a choice. We can choose to forgive and live our lives the way Christ wants us too, or we can live life the way we want too and hold onto our hurts.

I want to live life with Christ and forgive like He has forgiven me.
